Aïssa Joud (*1992) ist ein zeitgenössischer marokkanischer Mixed-Media-Künstler, Designer und Kulturunternehmer. Er lebt und arbeitet in der historischen Oasenstadt Aït Ben Haddou in Marokko. Dort gründete und leitet er Taman’art Space, eine bedeutende Künstlerresidenz und ein kreatives Labor für zeitgenössische Kunst.
Als Autodidakt mit einer fundierten Ausbildung in klassischer arabischer Kalligrafie entwickelte Joud eine unverwechselbare Bildsprache. Im Mittelpunkt seiner künstlerischen Praxis steht das Konzept der „Generation Bridge“ – ein Ansatz, der das kulturelle Erbe Marokkos mit zeitgenössischem Minimalismus und Einflüssen der Pop-Art verbindet.
Seine Arbeiten widmen sich dem Bewahren kollektiver Erinnerungen, der Würdigung der Würde arbeitender Menschen und der Poesie des alltäglichen Lebens in Marokko. Durch die Verbindung traditioneller Bildwelten mit einer reduzierten, zeitgenössischen Formensprache entstehen Werke, die Vergangenheit und Gegenwart auf eindrucksvolle Weise miteinander verbinden.
