ilithya - Bio
ilithya ist eine multidisziplinäre Künstlerin, Technologin und Pädagogin aus Mexiko, die in Hamburg, Deutschland, lebt. Sie ist eine autodidaktische Programmiererin, die Computerkunstwerke mit Code erstellt, der hauptsächlich in Shadern geschrieben ist. Sie arbeitet mit anderen Künstlern, Musikern, Kuratoren, Marken, Studios und unabhängigen Designern auf der ganzen Welt zusammen, um faszinierende visuelle Erlebnisse für die bildende Kunst, Festivals, das Internet und musikalische Aufführungen zu schaffen. Sie ist Teilzeit-Forschungsassistentin im Bereich KI an der HAWK-Hochschule, wo sie einen RAG-Prozess mit Open-Source-LLMs entwickelt, sowie freiberufliche Dozentin für Computational Thinking und Creative Coding. Sie wurde bereits von Studio 13/16, Centre Pompidou und Agora Digital Art vorgestellt. Im Jahr 2024 war sie Stipendiatin des MARKK-Museums, wo sie eine interaktive, animierte digitale Echtzeit-Kunstinstallation schuf. Ihre Arbeiten wurden als Installationen oder Live-Coding-Performances in verschiedenen Ländern auf Plattformen wie Night Lights Denver, Digital Art Month Paris, Neo Shibuya Tokyo, CADAF Art Fair New York, playrecordmint Basel, Iterations Amsterdam, Bright Moments México, Bideotikan Bilbao und Refraction Portugal ausgestellt.
ilithya - Artist Statement
Als multidisziplinäre Künstlerin und Technologin ist meine Praxis ständige Forschung und Selbsttherapie, die sich in visuellen Kompositionen durch neue Technologien ausdrückt. Sie beginnt mit einer Selbstbeobachtung und dem Studium von Algorithmen. Mein Handwerk entfaltet sich durch Neugier, indem ich Berechnungen und prozedurale Programmierung zu Experimenten zusammenführe, die psychedelische Visionen dessen zeichnen, was mir durch den Kopf geht. Inspiriert von Lebenserfahrungen, Klang, Surrealismus und Abstraktem, forme und schichte ich bewegliche Formen mit Farbpaletten, die von meinen Emotionen geleitet werden. Ich erforsche Themen der Vernunft sowie Bewusstseinszustände, um hypnotische Empfindungen zu provozieren, während ich Kunstwerke schaffe, die faszinieren und inneren Frieden auslösen sollen.

Timo Johannes - Bio
Timo Johannes ist Medienkünstler und Designer für physische Interaktion und lebt in Bremen. Seine Praxis konzentriert sich auf die Entwicklung von unkonventionellen Werkzeugen, Instrumenten und elektronischen Systemen, um neue Formen der Interaktion zu erforschen. Durch spielerisches Experimentieren mit Klang, Licht und physischen Computern schafft er reaktionsfähige Umgebungen, die subtile Prozesse und emergente Verhaltensweisen offenbaren. Für sein neuestes Werk hat er ein Performance-System aus speziell angefertigten Sensoren und Motoren entwickelt, das in seinen modularen Synthesizer integriert ist und taktile Interaktion mit Klang und Modulation ermöglicht. Seine Arbeiten und Performances wurden unter anderem auf dem Fiber Festival Amsterdam, 2017, der Gallerie Herold Bremen, 2019, dem Dom kulture Studentski grad Belgrad, 2018, dem qualm studio Hamburg, 2024, und den Modular Mondays Bremen, 2025, präsentiert.
Timo Johannes - Artist Statement
In meiner künstlerischen Praxis erforsche ich das Zusammenspiel von Technologie und menschlicher Wahrnehmung, indem ich Systeme entwerfe, die verborgene Prozesse offenlegen und neue Möglichkeiten der Auseinandersetzung mit Technologie und unserer Umwelt schaffen. Mit Hilfe von Physical Computing, maßgeschneiderter Elektronik und der Erforschung von Materialien schaffe ich interaktive Instrumente und Installationen, die sowohl in der visuellen als auch in der klanglichen Dimension die Taktilität, die Greifbarkeit und das Auftauchen betonen. In meiner Klangarbeit erschaffe ich eindringliche Ambient-Klanglandschaften, die den Hörer durch reiche Klangfarben und sich entwickelnde Texturen zur Meditation anregen. Mit Wiederholungen und subtilen Modulationen möchte ich ein tiefes, aufmerksames Zuhören fördern.

ilithya is a multidisciplinary artist, technologist, and educator from México, based in Hamburg, Germany. Sheʼs a self-taught programmer creating computational artwork with code, written mainly in shaders. She collaborates with other artists, musicians, curators, brands, studios, and independent designers around the world to create mesmerizing visual experiences for fine arts, festivals, the web, and musical performances. Sheʼs a part-time research assistant in AI at HAWK University developing a RAG process with open-source LLMs, as well as a freelance lecturer on Computational Thinking and Creative Coding. She's been featured by Studio 13/16, Centre Pompidou and Agora Digital Art. In 2024, she was a grant recipient at MARKK Museum, where she created a real-time interactive animated digital art installation. ilithya - Artist Statement
As a multidisciplinary artist and technologist my practice is constant research and self-therapy expressed as visual compositions through emerging technologies. It begins with an introspection, as well as a study of algorithms. My craft unfolds through curiosity by puzzling together computation and procedural programming as experiments that draw psychedelic visions of whatʼs on my mind. Inspired by life experiences, sound, surrealism, and the abstract, I shape and layer moving forms with color palettes directed by my emotions. I explore themes of sanity along with consciousness states intending to provoke hypnotic sensations, as I create artwork aspiring to mesmerize and trigger inner peace.

Timo Johannes is a media artist and physical interaction designer based in Bremen. His practice focuses on developing unconventional tools, instruments, and electronic systems to explore new modes of interaction. Through playful experimentation with sound, light, and physical computing, he creates responsive environments that reveal subtle processes and emergent behaviors. For his latest work he has developed a performance system of custom-built sensors and motors that is integrated into his modular synthesizer, enabling tactile interaction with sound and modulation. My artistic practice explores the interplay between technology and human perception by designing systems that reveal hidden processes and create new ways of engaging with technology and our environment. Through physical computing, custom electronics, and material exploration, I create interactive instruments and installations that emphasize tactility, tangibility and emergence in both visual and sonic dimensions. In my sound work, I craft immersive ambient soundscapes that guide listeners into meditation through rich timbres and evolving textures. Using repetition and subtle modulation, I aim to cultivate deep, attentive listening.
